Alternative parts are only selected if they can be easily swapped in without an explanation.
How to Assemble
You can watch my full step-by-step PC building video below. This was extracted from the Twitch livestream when I built this PC to only include the relevant PC building steps.

If that video doesn’t provide enough support for building a PC, then I would recommend watching this “How to Build a PC, the last guide you’ll ever need! (2024 Update)” video from Linus Tech Tips. This is a generic build guide tutorial that will help no matter which parts you choose to go with.
Cable Management Guide
  • Before even starting to build the PC, here’s what the starting point looks like in the Okinos Mirage 4. This is a dual-chambered case meaning the PSU sits in the back, and there’s plenty of room for cable management. There’s enough room that you can completely disregard cable management and just stuff the cables back there, but I of course did not do that, kind of.
  • One thing to note is what I circled in blue. This is a 4-port ARGB hub and only 3 of them are being used for the preinstalled case fans. This means that if you went with an ARGB CPU cooler, you can easily connect that to the hub so all the fans sync up together. I love that Okinos includes this with the case.
  • After the motherboard gets installed, this is what my cable management progress looked like. Again with a dual-chambered design there’s so much depth to hide the cables, so precise cable management isn’t really necessary. I added a few zip ties to keep the bulk of the case cables together, but not much more than that. If you do want to make this neater, then there’s plenty of room on the left hand side with the included Velcro straps.
  • Do notice that I left the SATA power cable dangling down at the bottom. This is what will power the case fans ARGB hub, so I made sure to leave that unmanaged for now so that I can easily plug that into the power supply.
  • After I installed the power supply, the first thing I did was bundle up the extra cables that I wasn’t going to use and zip tie them. With a non-modular power supply you’ll have a bunch of extras, so it’s easy to bundle them up instead of spreading all over the case randomly.
  • And finally after the power supply and GPU are installed, this is what the final cable management looks like. I took advantage of the dual-chambered design and stuffed a bunch of the excess cables down towards the bottom next to the power supply.
  • Again, there’s room on the left side to make this look better, but I personally think this is a good enough for a “functional” cable management level. Feel free to do better.

Monitor Recommendations
  • For an RTX 3070 based build, I think a 1080p 165Hz+ display is what you should shoot for at a minimum. In terms of performance this build can sneak its way into some 1440p gaming, but it all depends on what style of gaming experience you prefer. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to buy the 1440p monitor now, that way you don’t have to upgrade it in the future though. The 3070 can still definitely handle some titles in 1440p.
Here are some of my favorite options depending on which route you take:
  • 1080p Monitors
  • 1440p Monitors
Windows Installation Guide
Standard Installation
Windows installation is the same process from PC to PC. There isn’t anything specific about this PC
Creating the USB Drive
I always recommend setting up a Windows 11 USB thumb drive, but you’ll need to utilize a working computer.
Here is a video explaining how to set up the USB thumb drive.
Installing Windows 11
Here is a video explaining how to install Windows 11 after the thumb drive is set up.
Additionally, here is another tutorial from the YouTube channel Crater.
Post-Installation Steps
Once Windows is installed, I recommend:
  • Removing bloatware
  • Updating GPU drivers manually
  • Fully updating Windows
